If you're looking for an affordable long-range AR with a unique modern look, the DA-B12 BRAVO™ from Delta Armory is one to watch. This M4/AR-15 AEG is based on real steel LVOA-style AR-15s, boasting a 16.2-inch outer barrel and handguard along with an equally long 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel, ideal for outdoor skirmishing or a DMR build.
Inside the DA-B12, we are treated to the same pre-upgraded internal parts as the other offerings in Delta's BRAVO™ line, including a rotary HOP-up unit, SHS tappet plate and piston, 7mm ball bearing bushings, a CNC Type A flat trigger and a reinforced V2 gearbox shell.
The result is an AEG which shoots far better than one would expect for the price with full TM compatibility for the upgrade addicts. Whether you just wack a big scope on it and get to work or you build it out into a fully-fledged DMR, the DA-B12 makes a fantastic outdoors platform!

Description
If you have CQB covered and need a platform to deal with long range foes, the DA-B12 BRAVO™ from Delta Armory will do the trick. This AEG is part of Delta's BRAVO™ range, rocking the perfect balance between realism and agility, with a CNC aluminium handguard and alloy outer barrel paired with a high density polymer receiver to keep the platform light and swift to move with.
Like the ALPHA™ and CHARLIE™ AEGs from Delta, BRAVO™ AEGs have more than their fair share of pre-upgraded parts, including a 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel, rotary HOP-up unit, 7mm ball bearing bushings, a reinforced V2 gearbox shell and a quick change spring system.
The LVOA configuration of the DA-B12 is based on real world Low Visibility Operation/Applications AR-15 rifles, designed with an integrated muzzle brake. This is one interesting-looking AR, and while you may not get the recoil reduction benefits of the real deal in the DA-B12, we think it would make a great basis for a uniquely styled DMR build!
Starting at the front end we can find a birdcage flash hider, sitting slightly recessed into the LVOA handguard. This gives the DA-B12 a seriously menacing-looking front end and a unique look which you simply cannot get with aftermarket parts. The birdcage flash hider is removable and mounted to 14mm CCW male threads, but if you want to add a tracer or suppressor you will need to pay close attention to the inner diameter of the LVOA handguard and make sure your alternative muzzle device fits in. Otherwise, use a short barrel extension for a bit of extra clearance and you can mount whichever suppressor or tracer you need.
The handguard itself is constructed from CNC machined aluminium and is 16.2 inches in overall length, matching the outer barrel length in this LVOA configuration. The upper surface is equipped with a full length 20mm Picatinny rail which meets the receiver rail seamlessly, allowing for optical sights of practically any length to be mounted with space to spare.
The sides and bottom of the LVOA handguard are equipped with threaded holes designed for LVOA proprietary 20mm rails along with circular vent ports, completing the unique LVOA look. Rails and rail covers are unfortunately hard to find for this handguard, but it reportedly is compatible with Centurion Arms CMR rails and rail covers.
The receiver follows the familiar M4/AR-15 format and is constructed from high density polymer to keep the platform light and manoeuvrable. The finish on the receiver is consistent and strong enough to resist scratches more effectively than most metal receivers, making the DA-B12 ideal for those who skirmish like a bull in a china shop!
The fire selector can be found on the left side, positioned just above the pistol grip for fast access from a firing grip. The selector provides 3 modes of fire; Safe, semi-auto and full auto, with a 90-degree throw between each mode. The modes are all indicated in classic M4/AR-15 style, with recessed markings in block capitals matching real MilSpec M4 receivers. The magazine release is on the right side of the magazine well and is easily reached from a firing grip with the trigger finger, allowing for super swift emergency reloads and the enviable handling the M4/AR-15 platform is known for.
The mock bolt catch is located in the centre of the left side of the receiver and while this is a dummy control which doesn't provide a function, it is nonetheless a separate part to maintain the realistic appearance and avoid the tell-tale signs of being a replica. The dummy forward assist is present on the right side of the upper receiver, right where it should be. This control does nothing on an AEG, and some real AR shooters argue it does nothing on the real thing, but it is included on the DA-B12 LVOA to keep the rifle faithful to real M4/AR-15 rifles.
The charging handle is located at the top rear of the receiver and doesn't need to be pulled before the first shot. It instead serves to retract the mock bolt carrier and open the dust cover on the right side of the upper receiver, giving us access to the rotary HOP-up unit inside. The charging handle latch is also extended, making it easy to grab when you need to make a mid-game adjustment.
The HOP-up allows you to tune the flight path of your BBs and set the DA-B12 up for different ammo weights, looking for the flattest trajectory possible. The use of the rotary adjuster style is a nice touch and futureproofs the DA-B12 with the most modern HOP-up design for the M4/AR-15 platform, boasting an improved ability to hold its setting under the vibrations of firing and being adjustable in finer increments than the older "gear" adjuster design.
The pistol grip of the DA-B12 LVOA boasts a refined grip angle for greater comfort when shooting with the stock fully collapsed and in more modern shooting stances. Based on the real steel "Gunfighter mod.3" grip, a modern ergonomic design, each flank of the pistol grip includes fine texturing for perfect wet weather handling. The trigger guard is the standard M4/AR-15 flat style but can be swapped out for aftermarket alternatives. The trigger is known by Delta Armory as the CNC Type A Flat trigger, offering a flat serrated front surface with a short finger ledge, ideal for rapid double taps.
At the rear of the receiver, we come to the steel CQD style sling plate, which offers ambidextrous functionality with single-point slings; perfect for left or right-handed shooters. The steel construction of the sling plate practically guarantees even if you mount a hefty rifle scope to the DA-B12 LVOA, the sling plate will be strong enough to support the weight.
To the rear of the sling plate, we come to the M4/AR-15 buffer tube, which is constructed from the same strong high density polymer used for the receiver. The buffer tube offers 6 positions of stock adjustment for the pre-installed crane stock which also serves as the battery compartment for the DA-B12.
To access the battery compartment, squeeze the two tabs at the toe of the stock together, after which you can lift the butt plate off, remove the battery plug, and make use of the stock's built-in battery compartment to house a nunchuck/crane-style battery. For the DA-B12, we recommend a 7.4V 1300mAh LiPo crane/nunchuck battery but you can also make use of a 9.6V 1600mAh NiMH for extra capacity.
The Crane stock also includes a pair of QD sling sockets, one on each side, allowing for QD sling swivels to be added for a quick removable sling setup. Conventional sling slots (aka "footman loops") are also present for those who want a two-point sling but prefer the old-fashioned way.
The internals of the BRAVO™ series boast more than their fair share of pre-upgraded parts, including a reinforced gearbox shell with quick change spring functionality and a 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel paired with a rotary HOP-up unit, offering higher FPS with the same spring and finer HOP-up adjustment increments so you can get your HOP-up set perfectly for your chosen ammo weight.
Inside the version 2 gearbox, we are treated to 18:1 ratio steel gears running on 7mm ball bearing bushings, an SHS piston with a full rack of steel teeth and an SHS tappet plate for reliable feeding, even at high speed. The spring guide is a quick change example, allowing for easy power tuning to suit your local site's limits or build objectives. The internals are all Tokyo Marui spec, meaning aftermarket upgrades are prolific for those who want to maximise performance.
If you're looking for an unconventional AR platform for long range BB slinging, the DA-B12 LVOA is perfectly suited to the task. With a mighty 410mm tightbore inner barrel and rotary HOP-up unit, this AEG has some serious potential as a DMR build but still does a fantastic job as it comes!

Joule Charts
Special Instructions
These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.
This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
