Description
The CYMA CM.048 AK Assault Rifle is built to an incredible standard that makes it both tough in the hands, and pleasant to look at, featuring Real Wood Furniture for the Handguard and Stock. The rest of the replica is made from a mix of Alloy/Aluminium and Sheet Steel, making it able to withstand some abuse and bringing it to a realistic weight. The finish on the Wood is nicely done and has a dark stain with slight gloss to give it that 'brand new AK look'.
The end of the Barrel Assembly is threaded so that you can install Muzzle Devices, once you have pulled back the retaining pin and unscrewed the Flash Hider. Underneath this, you will find a 22mm CW Thread, which is typical to AK Models, and will accept AK specific Muzzle Devices such as the PBS-4 Suppressor. It looks as though there is a 14mm CCW Thread underneath the adapter (corroborated by the use of a Grub Screw there), however this couldn't be removed during testing so it is not advertised as having one (it usually requires heat applied to the adapter to get it to unscrew). Other features of the CM.048 include a Dovetail Side Rail which is ready to take proprietary accessories such as Rail Adapters and Optics like the PSO series. A set of Front and Rear Sling Loops allow for the easy connection of a standard Two Point Sling System, to make it easier to carry on an Airsoft skirmish.
As you would expect of an AK Model, it has the typical Ambidextrous Magazine Release which is very easy for both Left and Right Handed Players, as well as easily Adjustable Ironsights. Being able to quickly increase elevation on your Rear Sight Post allows for some quick thinking and impressive shots in the field once you learn how to use it correctly. The Gun is rear wired, meaning your Battery should be installed in the Stock. To access the compartment, use a screwdriver to remove the Butt Pad and reveal the Mini Tamiya connector inside. A Slider Type HOP Adjust can be found under the Charging Handle, which can be used to add backspin to your BBs - theoretically improving range and consistency when paired with the right BB weight and settings.
Included in the box is a 525rnd High Capacity Magazine, which is loaded by pouring BBs into the Top Fill Window. Once installed in the Gun, wind the Clockwork Wheel on the base of the Magazine to start feeding BBs into your Gun. The included Battery and Charger is to be considered a free gift, and may or may not be present in the box depending on supplier/batch. As always, we recommend an aftermarket set as the included ones will be insufficient.
The externals of the replica are metal where they would be on the real world gun. This includes things like the outer barrel, handguard, and receiver. If a real world gun has polymer parts then the gun will still be marked as full metal externals, examples of this would be an M4, where the Stock and Pistol grip are always made from Polymer.

These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.

This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
