Description
Externally the AR-15 is based off a mil-spec variant of the AR-15, and then modified by attaching the modified CQR parts. The rifle is a 1:1 replica of its real steel counter part including all the modified which went into upgrading the rifle. The parts were modified for the AEG edition by ICS based on the original CAD design files created by HERA ARMS to make them highly realistic and ensure the scale was the same.
The fixed Hera Arms CQR stock is very unique, with its P90 esque shape, this thumbhole stock is something rarely seen on an M4 and give the rifle a completely new feel and look. The stock is great for use with slings as it features a left and right QD sling loop mount points, as well as two stock sling bars for more traditional sling systems. The stock's length can also be adjusted using stock spacers which allows you to customise the length of the AR-15 to the perfect required length. To work with an Airsoft AEG the original design has also been modified to accept both batteries and the AEG's motor with no effect on the overall look of the stock.
The Hera Arms CQR grip is something to behold. The grip features a unique shape which offers the user a variety of grip angles to allow for a range of comfortable and stable firing positions. The front of the grip is specially designed to be held with a thumb and finger grip, similar to a P90, which is extremely comfortable hold hold and gives you a strong grip on the AR-15. The grip features multiple textured surfaces for extra grip, and is attached to the weapon via the rails 20mm RIS / RAS rail allowing it to be removed and refitted with ease. Another interesting feature is that the grip itself is actually produced by HERA Arms giving it a high quality finish comparable to the real thing.
The handguard is also based off the original designs, and is a replica of CQR rail. The rail is a four point 20mm RIS / RAS rail which allows for 20mm attachments to be fixed to the handguard, the most common on the market, allowing for a wide range of aftermarket parts to be fitted and used. The top rail lines directly up with the top rail of the receiver creating a full length top rail allowing for the attachment of large sights and scopes as well as complicated setups like a holographic and magnifier. The left and right side of the handguard features a QD Sling loop mount point to allow for the easy attachment of slings, and when used with the stock's QD points you can attach a range of two point slings to make the rifle easier to carry.

Special Instructions
ASG Recommends that with the UK M100 Standard Spring version that you use a maximum of a 7.4v Li-Po battery for the best performance possible.
Please note that this battery will not function using Ni-Mh batteries and requires Li-Po battery. This is due to the low voltage protection built in as part of the SSS MOSFET, please ensure you use 7.4v Li-Po.
The externals of the replica are metal where they would be on the real world gun. This includes things like the outer barrel, handguard, and receiver. If a real world gun has polymer parts then the gun will still be marked as full metal externals, examples of this would be an M4, where the Stock and Pistol grip are always made from Polymer.

SSS Self Diagnostic Shooting System
Three Round Burst Mode
The mosfet can be set to fire three round burst instead of full auto for accuracy and to conserve ammo.
Pre-cocking Mode
By default Pre-Cocking is enabled, which pre engages the piston so you can make repeat shots faster.
SSS Self Diagnosis System
Allows you to diagnose problems with the rifle to give you a general idea if the AR-15 stops firing.
Low Battery Protection
When your battery has insufficient charge the grip will vibrate three times then stop firing.
Switching between Firing Modes
By default the AR-15 is set to Safe / Semi / Full Auto. To switch to Safe / Semi / Burst please follow the steps below:
- Set the fire-selector to semi-automatic.
- Hold the trigger for 10 seconds.
The pistol grip will vibrate once when switching to 3 round burst, or twice when switching back to full-auto
Setting Pre-cocking Mode
By default pre-cocking mode is enabled.
- Press the trigger once in semi-auto.
- Switch the fire selector quickly between semi and full auto 3 times in under 5 seconds.
- The motor will vibrate once the process is completed.
Please note when switching to pre-cocking, or after the piston has been released the system will need to re-detect the piston position. The system may double feed or not fire for the first five shots until the positioning has been memorised.
SSS Self Diagnosis Mode
If the product is operating correctly then you will not need to run a self diagnosis, however this can be helpful for any Airsoft Tech or for personal reference.
The self diagnosis mode checks features such as the battery voltage, the functionality of the trigger system, the fire select, and gear functionality.

SSS System Warnings
- Any disassembly or use of non-original parts may result in abnormal product performance. Please ensure you're confident in any modifications you make, or get in touch with our Workshop via our Contact Us Page.
- Only use 7.4v or 11.1v Li-Po Battery in this replica, any other battery may trigger the low-voltage protection system and cause the rifle not to fire.
- When the battery power is too low the pistol grip will vibrate three times to notify you that the battery requires changing.
- When the battery power is too low the system will switch to safe mode to prevent damage to the battery. The pistol grip will vibrate once when the trigger is pulled as a warning.
- If the system detects a problem with the gearbox during use the gun will be switched to safe mode to prevent damage to the AR-15 . The pistol grip will vibrate once when the trigger is pulled as a warning.
- Please note that the self-diagnosis function is only for reference, and may not directly reflect the cause of the problem. If you are unsure what is causing the problem please ensure you get in touch with our Workshop via our Contact Us Page.
- The system will return to its default settings once the battery is removed. Pre-cocking will be re-enabled and the gun will switch back to Safe / Semi / Full Auto.
- If you enable pre-cocking mode without the magazine installed the AR-15 will not fire a round on the first shot. This is so the system can re-learn the positions of the piston.
- Please note that whilst in pre-cocking mode if the hop-up is set to be full off BBs will be free to roll down the barrel. Please ensure that a small amount of hop is always applied.
- If you release the spring either via removing the battery, or activating the decocking mechanism via the mock bolt release, the system will need to re-detect the piston positions, meaning the AR-15 may not fire a round, or double feed for the first few shots.
- To maintain functionality of the AR-15 and to protect the AR-15 do not remove the fuse.

These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.

This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
