Description
This AEG has full licensing from Diamondback Firearms, the real steel, American gun company. This AEG is a short assault rifle, based on Diamondback's popular DB15 series of assault rifles. This replica shares some iconic features with the real steel assault rifles, firstly, the Diamondback markings are immediately noticeable, featuring all over the rifle. Additionally, there are similarities in the M-LOK handguard with attachment points at 3,6 and 9 o'clock and the ambidextrous fire selector.
Starting at the tip of the alloy outer barrel we can find an alloy Helios™ compensator, which mounts to the 14mm CCW male threading hidden underneath. The Helios™ logo is a nice touch as it adds to the premium design of this compensator and the muzzle attachment itself gives the DB15 AP305 a modern rifle look. It also features 24mm threading on it for a tracer unit or a suppressor.
Surrounding the outer barrel we have the polymer M-LOK rail handguard, which is styled after the real steel and gives the rifle an authentic, real steel look. The M-LOK attachment interface is functional and allows the 2 included Picatinny rail sections to be moved around and mounted anywhere at the 3, 6 or 9 o'clock position on the handguard, aftermarket M-LOK accessories can also be attached to these sections. On this polymer handguard, we can see our first Diamondback trademarks, sitting at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions. These have been laser engraved into the handguard and look incredible.
The 12 o'clock position of the handguard provides a full-length 20mm Picatinny rail which integrates seamlessly with the receiver rail to allow for longer optical sights to be used or red dot sight magnifier combos. As it arrives, the DB15 AP306 is equipped with a pair of flip-up aperture iron sights, the front sight has adjustable elevation and the rear sight has adjustable windage. The front sight has a rotary adjuster just under the post and the rear sight has turrets on either side which can be twisted to move the sight left and right. The sights can be deployed by flipping them up, which will snap the sights into the upright position. To stow the sights, simply push them back down and they will flip into place. The rear sight has two hole sizes that can be changed on the move so you can engage your opponents at any range.
Moving rearward we reach the receiver, which has a familiar M4/AR-15 layout and is constructed from high-density polymer. The fire selector is ambidextrous and is located on both the left and right side of the AEG, sitting directly above the pistol grip to provide fast and easy access. The fire selector has a 90-degree throw between modes and makes a satisfying click into place, it is quick to operate and the tactile click ensures you won't accidentally knock it and end up in the wrong fire mode. Each fire mode is indicated with recessed markings reading SAFE-SEMI-AUTO.
Located dead centre on the left side of this polymer receiver we find a dummy bolt release catch which doesn't have a function on an Airsoft AEG but is included to keep the externals looking realistic. The bolt release perfectly pairs with the Diamondback trademarks to make this AEG look extremely authentic and avoid the tell-tale signs that this is an Airsoft gun and not the real deal.
The magazine release is on the right side of the magazine well and is ideally positioned to be pressed with the trigger finger from a firing grip for right-handed users. The design is a unique rectangular shape and the surface of the mag release is textured to provide the necessary gripping qualities. Slightly rearwards of this mag release is another laser-engraved Diamondback trademark, further solidifying the realism that this AEG is trying to display.
Pulling back the extended charging and letting it retract pops open the steel dust cover. Immediately, the 5.56 NATO marking is noticeable on the inside of the dust cover/mock ejection port cover. These markings denote the ammo type that would be shot from the real steel version of this rifle. On the mock bolt plate itself, there is an additional trademark, this is the Diamondback logo and is bright white which brilliantly contrasts the rest of the metallic black port.
The adjustable HOP-up unit is located inside this mock ejection port. This device allows you to adjust the amount of backspin applied to your BBs and tune the DB15 AP305 for your ammo weight of choice, looking for the flattest possible trajectory. The Rotary HOP-up adjuster can be accessed by holding the charging handle back, after which the dust cover will spring open and the mock bolt plate will retract. The rotary HOP-up design is known as the latest and greatest for M4 AEGs, and it retains the HOP-up settings better than previous adjustment styles.
The pre-installed pistol grip is an exclusive Bo Manufacturer grip that offers plenty of positive grip when handling the rifle. It is a modern ergonomic design with indents at either side of the top for your thumb to comfortably sit on for both left and right-hand shooters. It features a rough texture on the left and right sides for a good grip, and the BO Dynamics insignia is present on the rear of the pistol grip. The trigger is known as the CNC Type A Flat trigger, offering a flat serrated front surface with a short finger ledge, ideal for rapid double taps. The trigger is also skeletonised to add to the modern rifle design and shave off precious grams to make the rifle even lighter.
Following the receiver, we reach the AR buffer tube. It is constructed from a strong alloy and provides 6 positions of adjustment, enough to suit any body type or loadout. To adjust the stock position, press up on the lever located at the bottom of the stock and then slide the stock to your desired position. There is an additional Diamondback trademark featured along the buffer tube that once again superbly contrasts the black colour on the rest of the rifle.
The stock is constructed from high-density polymer and features an angled butt plate, which provides comfort and security when wearing full-body gear and operating from modern shooting stances. The buffer tube system allows you to swap your stock out for any aftermarket M4/AR-15 stock simply and quickly. If you fancy a change or get tired of its looks in the future, the option to switch out the stock means you have access to the widest variety of aftermarket stock options out there!
At the rear of the stock, we are treated to a QD sling point on both sides of the stock, this allows you to attach a sling to either side of your rifle depending on your shooting style. It also has a slightly raised cheek pad comprised of slightly smoother polymer than the rest of the stock for improved comfort. The butt plate is also polymer and is textured for good grip; ensuring that the stock stays firmly in your shoulder when shooting. A Diamondback logo can be found on the butt plate, the real steel branding makes this AEG look genuine!
The battery compartment is located within the buffer tube and can be accessed by removing the stock. To do this, pull the two plastic cylinders down which are located above the visible spring on the stock. Once pulled down, the polymer stock can slide off the buffer tube and you can access the Deans style connector. The BO Dynamics DIAMONDBACK DB15 AP305 7" M4/AR-15 AEG has an included 11.1V 1000mAH crane-style battery included that perfectly fits in the buffer tube.
This AEG features some good internals for a rifle of this price range. It includes a version 2 gearbox with 18:1 ratio steel gears on 8mm ball bearing bushings, durable maple leaf HOP-up rubber, a 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel, a programmable electronic trigger unit and an integrated MOSFET unit that keeps your electronics in check from short circuits and burnouts. The programmable electronic trigger modes are: full-auto, semi, a burst of 2, 3, 4 and 5 shots (pressing the trigger will fire the programmed number of shots), Binary / Double tap mode.
For those who are relatively fresh to the sport or maybe a veteran Airsofter looking for a lightweight backup platform, the BO Dynamics DIAMONDBACK DB15 AP305 7" M4/AR-15 AEG is ideal for your needs. It also includes lots of additional gear along with the rifle, plenty of gear for a low price! With elite looks, good preinstalled internals, full trademarks and licensing from Diamondback and its solid yet lightweight polymer externals, the DB15 AP305 is a great versatile platform with plenty of room for accessories!

FALCON EFCS MOSFET
Please note that the gun's EFCS system is only compatible with LiPo Batteries, and is not compatible with LiFe or NiMh batteries.
Please note that both binary fire and burst modes can be set, as binary fire is applied to semi, and 1-5 fire mode is applied to full auto.
FALCON EFCS Protection Feature
Gearbox Protection
When the current is too high or abnormal the power supply on the EFCS will disconnect to protect the motor and battery, and the motor will vibrate three times.
If the battery's voltage is too high the EFCS power supply will automatically disconnect and the motor will vibrate twice.
Battery Protection
The FALCON EFCS has an operating voltage between 6-13v. If the voltage is too low or too high the power supply will be cut. If the voltage of your battery is too low, the FALCON will notify the user via 5 vibrations, then cut the power to protect your battery.
