Do I need a license to purchase an Airsoft gun?
No, technically you do not need a license to buy or own an Airsoft replica, however, the retailer needs to ensure you have a legitimate reason for purchasing before they can sell you one. This is typically known as an "Airsoft Defence" and can include a UKARA membership or a skirmish site membership. It is important to note that your Airsoft Defence is not an exemption from the law. No matter what, you'll need to be over 18 to purchase an Airsoft replica.
If you don't have a defence then you'll have to buy your Airsoft gun painted in two-tone, meaning the replica is painted over 51% a bright non-military colour such as Red, Green, or Blue. This can be applied to any replica on our site. To apply the Airsoft two-tone we strip the gun down to its parts, spray the correct bits, rebuild the gun and test it.
One of the most common defences for Airsoft players is the UKARA defence, which is a huge list of players registered at Airsoft sites around the UK. When you attempt to purchase an Airsoft replica we'll check for a relevant defence against your name and if we can confirm it we'll ship you your gun!
What is a Two Tone Airsoft Gun?
- A Two Tone Airsoft Gun is a Replica Weapon that has been painted in a bright colour such as red, blue or green which covers 51% or more of the gun.
Can Any Airsoft Gun Be Two Toned?
- Pretty much, yes! Any of the guns you see listed on our site ( Excluding Boneyard ) are available for a Two Tone Service, simply click on the product you want, and you will see a drop down style menu just right of the product image, here you can select which colour you want your gun to be and an image will display accordingly representing the gun and how it'll look when painted.
