  • 3 or 6 BBs per shot - Realistic spread

If you're in the market for a menacing pump-action shotgun but need something at the cutting edge, the KelTec KSG Bullpup Gas Shotgun from EMG will suit your needs perfectly! Based on the real steel KelTec KSG, a mould-breaking bullpup shotgun design with dual magazine tubes, the EMG version is full metal and powered by green gas, offering the choice of 3 or 6 BBs per shot for a realistic shotgun-style spread!

Thanks to official licencing from KelTec, the EMG KSG is littered with authentic KelTec trademarks matching the real thing perfectly and includes the iconic KelTec squared texture on the pump grip and pistol grip. Inside, we have Tokyo Marui-based internals with a fixed HOP-up optimised for 0.25g BBs, capable of hitting man-sized targets at up to 30 meters in its stride. The gas reservoir is removable but unlike the TM version, it can be refilled without removing it from the shotgun by pulling off the butt pad.

If you've seen how effective gas tri-shot shotguns are in-game but need something less old-fashioned than the legendary M870, the KSG is about as modern as it gets! With HALO-esque vibes, a short overall length, a superb quality build and an oh-so-satisfying pump action mechanism, the EMG KelTec KSG Bullpup Gas Shotgun is an impressive platform in all aspects!

Description

If you're into ultra-modern shotgun designs, the EMG KelTec KSG will put a big smile on your face! Boasting official licencing from KelTec via EMG, full metal construction and the choice of 3 BBs or a punishing 6 BBs per shot, this gas shotgun is based on the Tokyo Marui internal design meaning fantastic gas efficiency and surprising range for a shotgun!

Bristling with KelTec trademarks with a vibe straight out of HALO, the KSG is the shotgun for the cutting-edge skirmisher looking for something more compact and menacing than an M870 with no performance compromise thanks to its bullpup configuration. If you're working on a sci-fi loadout or simply seeking the most modern pump action shotgun in Airsoft form, the EMG KelTec KSG Bullpup Gas Shotgun is what you need!

Starting at the front, we can see the extra-intimidating bore of the KSG; a single barrel with a pair of mock magazine tubes running side by side just beneath. The barrel and mock mag tubes are made from alloy for maximum realism. The dual tube configuration of the real KSG is what allows it to be such a versatile shotgun, allowing you to fill a tube with buckshot and one with slugs, switching tubes when you need to engage targets at different ranges. In Airsoft form, the left side mag tube can be used to store up to two spare shotgun shell magazines, loaded through the action at the rear, while the right side tube is where you load your active shell magazine.

On the bottom, we have the pump grip which is extended to cover the barrel and mock mag tubes, featuring KelTec's iconic squared texture along the sides and a 20mm Picatinny rail on the bottom, ready for a vertical or angled foregrip. The rail is very roomy, allowing you to mount a grip exactly where you need it, regardless of the length of your arms or your preferred grip position. When racked, the pump runs smoothly and sounds fantastic, giving off an intimidating report which will make the enemy team think twice before facing you head-on!

Up top, we have a 20mm Picatinny optics rail which is CNC machined from aluminium, ready for your red dot sight, scope, PEQ laser and the kitchen sink if you think you need it! This lengthy top rail is perfect for a pump action shotgun, avoiding the need to work around the pump if you're mounting a flashlight or laser and allowing for a forward-mounted red dot, enhancing field of view and target acquisition speed.

As you'll receive it, the top rail hosts a set of polymer flip-up iron sights, offering an adjustable aperture sight when flipped up and a simple open sight when stored. Windage adjustments can be applied to the rear sight via the drum on the right side and the front sight is adjustable for elevation using an AR-15 front sight adjustment tool. These sights can also be removed if you need maximum rail space or replaced with your preferred 20mm Picatinny compatible sights.

Moving down, we come to the trigger group which is positioned ahead of the action in this bullpup design. The pistol grip features squared texture on each side to complete the KelTec aesthetic along with a push-through safety just above, easily accessible from a firing grip. When the push-through safety protrudes on the left, you'll see a white "S" on the rear of the safety indicating that the KSG is in safe mode. With the safety protruding on the right, a red "F" will present itself facing the shooter, letting you know the KSG is hot and ready to rock!

On the pistol grip, we have a pair of ports which run through to the other side of the shotgun; a feature which might seem confusing at first but is very convenient. These ports are designed to retain the body pins of the KSG so they don't get lost during disassembly, a feature pinched from H&K which has been using this system since the G3 originally dropped. While we don't advise disassembling the KSG unless absolutely necessary, this "boomer" feature is lovely to see in a "zoomer" shotgun!

At the front of the trigger guard, we have the mock bolt release lever, allowing the real KSG to be emptied by racking the pump. The lever on the EMG KSG is non-functional and moulded in but genuinely looks like it should move, even down to the metal mock axis pin. This shows EMG has gone the distance when it comes to authentic details, a theme which is a constant throughout the KSG's external design.

Moving rearwards, we come to the receiver which is constructed from alloy and featureless on either side, just like the real KSG. Between the receiver and top rail, we can find a polymer barrel cover which conceals the 3/6 BB mode selector beneath. To access the selector, simply push the barrel cover forward and lift it off. With the selector in the forward position, you're in 6 BB mode and with it pushed rearwards, you're in 3 BB mode. Hiding the mode selector here was a fantastic choice, maintaining the realistic KSG shape while giving you maximum versatility on the field!

The lack of an ejection port is due to the downward ejection of the real thing, allowing it to be used by left or right-handed shooters with no worries about where spent shells go when you rack the pump. The large port to the rear of the grip is where everything happens in the KSG, functioning as the loading port and ejection port of the real steel. In Airsoft form, this is where you load your tri-shot shotgun shell magazine and have the option to store an additional 2 shell magazines, close to the action for rapid reloads. Your active shell magazine is loaded into the right-side mock magazine tube and shell storage is on the left. Both your active mag and the stored magazines are retained by their own serrated magazine release which needs to be pulled downward to release.

Between the two magazine release catches, we have the mock shell tube selector, allowing you to switch feeding from one shell tube to the other in the real steel KSG. This catch is non-functional in the Airsoft version but can be flipped from left to right or positioned in the centre (the position for reloading in the real thing), keeping fans of the real steel KSG happy!

At the rear, we come to the butt plate assembly which is constructed from high-density polymer with a KelTec-marked rubberised butt plate including yet more of KelTec's unique squared texture. The removable gas tank is hidden inside and can be accessed by removing the rear pin, though this isn't necessary to fill it with gas. To access the fill valve, simply peel the rubber butt plate off and you'll see the gas fill valve on the rear of the tank. This is one of the biggest improvements EMG has made to the TM KSG design, allowing you to top up your gas reservoir easily with minimal disassembly required!

Inside, the EMG KSG is primarily based on the Tokyo Marui KSG design but with elevated realism thanks to its licenced trademarks. The HOP-up is fixed just like the TM and optimised for 0.25g BBs, resulting in a maximum effective range of around 30 meters which ain't too shabby for a shotgun! In our tests, we found the KSG to be remarkably gas-efficient and rather spicy when it comes to FPS, hitting out at 290 FPS approximately with our lowest-pressure gas, NUPROL 1.0. If you're running the KSG at a skirmish, we advise using low-pressure gas (NUPROL 1.0 or Abbey 144A)  as when we moved up to NUPROL 2.0, our FPS results exceeded site limits.

If you're a fan of the uniquely intimidating aura around pump-action shotguns but your tastes dictate a modern primary, the EMG KelTec KSG Bullpup Gas Shotgun has your name on it! With styling unlike anything else out there and the game-winning performance of gas 3/6 burst shotguns, the KSG is a real mean machine!

Special Instructions

The EMG KelTec KSG is best used on low-pressure gas to keep it within site limits. We used NUPROL 1.0 Blue Gas for our test results of 290 FPS +/- 10% on 0.2g BBs as standard pressure green gas (NUPROL 2.0, VORSK V6, ASG Ultrair) resulted in readings above site limits.
