Full description

Description

This Airsoft Electric Gun replica from King Arms is a lightweight and compact PDW which accepts MP5 magazines, and offers plenty of modern, ergonomic furniture which will turn heads, and keep you as effective as possible in the field. The Alloy-made suppressor in the images is included and goes a long way to complete its' tactical aesthetic. Underneath this suppressor is a 14mm CCW thread, so you could easily install your own Suppressors/Tracer Units as you please.

The handguard is an M-LOK design which is made from Alloy for a tough and solid finish which doesn't wobble under stress. It comes with side and lower 20mm rails installed and ready for your accessories, and offer plenty of space to improve the SBR's prowess. The top 20mm rail runs the full length of the RIF to the rear of the receiver, and comes with a set of flip-up ironsights already installed, which have a wide aperture and offer quick target acquisition. These can be folded out of the way when not in use, and used as a backup if your main sight fails.

The receiver is made from a tough yet lightweight Polymer, and is an adaptation of the hugely successful AR receiver, but shrunk down the 9mm platform. This means that it accepts widely-available MP5 magazines from many brands, but namely ASG/CYMA. The controls on the receiver are user friendly and will be familiar to any who has used an AR platform RIF before. The magazine release is borrowed from the MP5 design and is ambidextrous, with a further standard release on the off-side, for those who prefer the AR-style release. Underneath the half size dust cover you will find a gear style HOP adjust, which will improve effective range with the correct settings and a 0.25g+ BB.

The mag well is quite wide which means that there is a small amount of play when magazines are installed; this allows for many brands of magazines to be used, and also means that magazines sit really well, making for lightning fast reloads.

The pistol grip is a unique and ergonomic design which is comfortable to hold, has ridges and texturing to improve grip, and also features removable backstraps. There are several sizes of backstraps included in the box, and they are easy to replace in a heartbeat by squeezing the tag and sliding them downwards off the grip. This helps you achieve the perfect grip size to make it comfortable for any user.

The stock is a skeleton-style sliding design which can be adjusted to a total of seven positions, to make it the perfect length for any user or situation. This is also where the battery is stored, and offers enough room for most sizes of batteries. During testing a7.4v 2000mAh Crane Stock LiPo was used, and fit with plenty of space. The electronic trigger responded really well to the LiPo battery and offers a rapid response and easy trigger pull. The stock is very tough for a Polymer design, feels great to the tough and has no wobble when under stress. There is a loop on the underside of the stock for the installation of slings, but will probably require a keyring loop installing to make it easier to use.

If you're looking for a compact yet tough-feeling PDW size Airsoft Electric Gun which looks different from the norm, but doesn't require a tonne of expensive proprietary parts/mags to operate, then the King Arms PDW SBR SD may be just the thing for you.
