A detailed, licenced replica of the real steel SAI BLU Compact, this is effectively a full metal EU19 with a full external overhaul, enhancing ergonomics considerably with the pre-requisite high-end styling to match the real thing. 

Based on the WE EU19 internal design with its enlarged blowback unit and full metal construction, the BLU Compact boasts mighty recoil and a super satisfying firing experience along with 11mm CW female barrel threads equipped with a 14mm CCW thread adapter, ready for a tracer or suppressor of your choice!

Being patterned after the real steel BLU Compact, the SAI Glock 19 equivalent, this voguish, enhanced sidearm sports a drop-dead gorgeous yet menacingly aggressive tactical style with its Salient Arms enhanced ergonomic frame, front and rear slide serrations, light-enhancing anti-glare iron sights and utterly sexy Salient Arms trademarks across the design.

Holding the BLU Compact feels nothing like the original EU19; offering improved gripping qualities, a reprofiled ergonomic grip and an undercut trigger guard along with the choice of a realistic brass or more affordable alloy backstrap, depending on the variant you choose. If you love a posh real steel pistol and need something a bit more compact than the usual "service pistol", the EMG Salient Arms BLU Compact GBB Pistol ticks all the boxes!

Starting at the tip of the outer barrel we can find a 14mm CCW thread adapter mounted to the 11mm CW female threads on the fluted alloy outer barrel. This allows a suppressor or tracer to be added straight away, reserving the option to remove the adapter entirely for a more discrete aesthetic. Attached to the thread adapter we can find a Salient Arms style thread protector, with helpful knurling and a hexagonal section to make installing and removing it a breeze.

The outer barrel carries through the distinctive Salient Arms style, with flat sections along its full length functioning as fluting to reduce weight and provide additional heat dissipation in the real firearm. Across the top of the outer barrel and visible through the upper slide port, we can see the first of our licensed Salient Arms trademarks, taking the form of "S A I" engraved across the top fluting cut. On the top of the chamber, the iconic "S in a cube" Salient Arms logo is present, with "9 m m" just to the rear and "SAI" over on the right side. If you like realistic trademarks, you're gonna love the BLU Compact!

Each side of the BLU Compact slide sports aggressive angled serrations which extend across the top and match perfectly with those at the rear. This gives you all the options in how you manipulate the slide, assuring you get a good grip regardless of the weather conditions, with or without gloves. To the rear of the front serrations, we can find "SALIENT ARMS INTERNATIONAL" immaculately engraved on the left side in the iconic Salient Arms font, with "SALIENT" on the right side.

At the top of the slide, we can find a highly effective modern sight setup consisting of a light-enhancing front sight and a flat rear sight with anti-glare serrations. This not only provides fast target acquisition in low light but also ensures you don't mix the sight dots up when working quickly or shooting straight from the draw. The anti-glare texture is also superb for bright conditions, ensuring glare does not prevent you from landing that all-important hit!

The rear plate of the slide also includes texture to allow you to push the slide forward easily in the event of the slide not returning fully and also includes the "S in a cube" logo. The BLU Compact is absolutely bristling in Salient logos, proudly showcasing its real steel brand pedigree!

Moving down to the frame, we see a unique Salient Arms frame with some notable and considerate changes made when compared to the more basic EU-series frame. The frame rail, located at the front on the dust cover is now a standard 20mm Picatinny rail instead of an EU-style pistol rail, allowing more options for mounting tactical flashlights, lasers and other accessories. Being the "Compact" model, the grip length is the same as EU19 pistols, making it great for smaller hands and those who want a sidearm which is faster to draw and lighter than most with almost no performance sacrifice. 

The trigger guard has also been heavily modified, featuring an undercut for both the firing hand and support hand; promoting a high grip to help control recoil and muzzle rise. Texture has been added on the underside and front of the trigger guard to aid traction and a finger index point is present on the frame just above, intended to provide a grippy rest position for your busy trigger finger. 

The grip itself features comfortable but effective stippling over a wider area than a standard EU series, providing improved gripping qualities. The rear strap of the frame has unique dot texturing, extending the custom looks of the BLU Compact and highlighting this as an enhanced design. The magazine release is raised and extended; featuring gripping texture in the form of the "S in a cube" logo which is both comfortable and easy to access. Depending on the variant you choose, your mag release and backstrap will either be made from alloy or realistic brass, with brass being chosen for the backstrap of the real thing in order to function as a recoil-reducing counterweight.

The slide release is found on the left side, a low profile Gen.3 style release made from steel and designed to reduce snag potential. To complete this advanced EU19, a subtle magazine well flare has been added to help guide your magazine home after a swift reload. A flared magwell is par for the course for competition-optimised pistols and while the SAI model is more subtle and well-suited to combat it still does its job of allowing for "eyes-up" reloads and making reloads on the move that bit easier!

The trigger is also a "flat" type, retaining the dual-stage functionality of the original EU series trigger in a custom design with Salient Arms branding on either side. The trigger is remarkably crisp, with an audible and tactile reset which makes it a real pleasure to use. These features combine to provide a refined EU series pistol which solves all the perceived issues with the original and provides superb ergonomics and a stylish, custom look.

As far as performance goes, the SAI BLU Compact is very impressive, combining heavy recoil for an immersive firing experience with snappy slide cycle speed to help you keep up in game. Though pistols dominate at close range, the SAI BLU can reach out and touch people if necessary thanks to its gear adjustable HOP-up unit, found on the underside of the outer barrel and accessible when the slide is removed for a field strip.
