Ever wanted AK-sized magazines on a rifle that handles like an M4? If so you have found your niche!

The M918G is a replica of the AR47 rifle which was designed for special forces troops operating behind enemy lines with limited access to NATO ammunition.

It is constructed almost from reinforced polymer, with an alloy outer barrel and buffer tube to provide a strong backbone and well-rounded weight balance. The rifle also boasts more than its fair share of internal enhancements, especially when you consider the price of this AEG!

Description

Now for something a little different. The MK47 was created with the idea of a soldier being able to resupply behind enemy lines, able to leave a smaller footprint to conceal their presence. The original MK47 carbine has been built on the idea of maintaining the features and ergonomics of the AR-15 but giving it the possibility to utilise a more powerful 7.62 x 39 calibre which is the standard calibre for the AK47 rifle. This Double Eagle replica features the advanced Falcon fire control system which lets you program your own fire control settings such as burst and binary fire, as well as an electronic trigger unit and rotary HOP unit.

At the front of the rifle, we can see the alloy flash hider, attached to the barrel via the 14mm counter clockwise thread. The design is something of a mix between the classic birdcage flash and AAC-style flash hiders, however, should you wish the flash hider can be removed simply by unscrewing it, allowing you to install the muzzle device of your choice, such as a suppressor or tracer unit.

The barrel is constructed from smooth brushed alloy, which gives the rifle a sleek aesthetic as it can be seen from behind the handguard. The barrel being alloy also contributes to a well-weighted platform, while still remaining lightweight. Above the barrel sits the 10.5-inch handguard, which comes equipped with an M-LOK rail system, generally considered the most effective of modern rail systems, to which you can attach the tactical accessories that suit you and your playstyle the most, such as the included rail covers or furniture such as a foregrip or angled grip.

Atop the handguard is the 20mm picatinny rail that runs the whole length of the handguard all the way to back of the receiver in a single unbreaking formation. Here we can see the adjustable ironsights, the front of which can be adjusted up or down and the rear can be adjusted left and right with rotary gears. Even diehard traditional AK fans will have a hard time arguing against the addition of modern features such as the MK47s sights and rail systems.

The lower receiver, is, of course, the biggest draw to this replica, being that the magwell accepts AK magazines. Perhaps you already run a classic AK and have a tonne of mags laying around. Now you can still get the use out of them, all while reaping the benefits of the modern M4 platform's features.

The M918G features Double Eagle's latest creation, the Falcon EFCS fire control system. Usually only seen in custom builds and high-end AEG this feature is a welcome inclusion, allowing for 1-5 round bust mode, a binary trigger, as well as various gun and battery protection features to boot. The 1-5 round burst mode and bump fire settings can also be set at the same time, with binary being used in semi-auto mode, and 1-5 round burst replacing the full auto mode. The fire control system is designed to be used with Li-Po batteries  The EFCS fire system is configurable using simple trigger pulls and requires no external tools, special adaptors or a PC to function. For more information please see the Special Instructions Section.

The rifle features a typical AR platform layout, with a safe/semi/auto fire selector (which can be programmed without the need for tools), but notably a flat blade trigger and ergonomic charging handle. Not only do these parts look super slick, but they make the handling and operation of the rifle much easier. The battery is stored in the stock, where you will find a Deans connector inside the buffer tube. Simply pull apart the tabs holding the butt pad in place, and pull it away to access the rather large battery compartment, ideal for a 7.4v LiPo crane battery. The stock features a rubberised butt plate for additional comfort and shock absorption, as well as 2 QD sling points for easily attaching the slings of your choice.

Included in the box is a 300rnd High Capacity Magazine, which is filled with BBs from the top via the fill window, and then wound at the bottom of the Mag to start feeding BBs into the gun. If you're looking for an incredibly smart Airsoft gun with some unique external furniture as well as a solid alloy body, then you can't go wrong with the M918G UTR EK47 w/ Falcon Fire Control System.

Package Includes

  • Double Eagle M918G UTR EK47 w/ Falcon Fire Control System
  • 500rnd High-capacity AK AEG magazine
  • User manual

Special Instructions

The UTR EK47 has a built-in mechanism to retain BBs which usually fall out of the HOP-up unit when the magazine is removed. There is a small catch inside the magazine well which needs to be pressed to release these BBs. We advise using the UTR EK47 with caution, particularly when dry firing, and in addition to the two shots inverted with the magazine out as you leave the game area you press the catch to release the retained BBs.

Please note that the gun's EFCS system is only compatible with LiPo Batteries, and is not compatible with LiFe or NiMh batteries.

Please note that both binary fire and burst modes can be set, as binary fire is applied to semi, and 1-5 fire mode is applied to full auto.

Please note that fitting the supplied deans connector will constitute a modification of the replica, and if you carry out this modification you will not be able to return your replica.

FALCON EFCS Protection Feature

Gearbox Protection

When the current is too high or abnormal the power supply on the EFCS will disconnect to protect the motor and battery, and the motor will vibrate three times.

If the voltage of the battery is too high the EFCS power supply will automatically disconnect and the motor will vibrate twice.

Battery Protection

The FALCON EFCS has an operating voltage between 6-13v. If the voltage is too low or too high the power supply will be cut. If the voltage of your battery is too low, the FALCON will notify the user via 5 vibrations, then cut the power to protect your battery.
