Double Bell 789 Baba Yaga Hi-Capa GBB Pistol

Based on the famous ''Baba Yaga'' pistol from popular media, the Double Bell 789 Hi-Capa GBB Pistol has a fearsome look that will strike fear into the hearts of all your opponents. This pistol comes in a hard polymer case with wave foam on the interior, keeping your sidearm secure and protecting it from scratches and marks. Also included in the case are a spare polymer nozzle, a cleaning rod and a green gas-powered 27-round magazine. Starting at the front of this sidearm, there is a 6.03mm Tightbore inner alloy barrel that sports a 12mm CW female thread at the tip, allowing tracer units, suppressors and other muzzle attachments to be added with a 12mm to 14mm clockwise thread adapter. There is a 20mm RIS pistol rail located on the under-barrel of the ''Baba Yaga'' where you can attach any under-barrel attachment you desire such as torches or lasers.

Moving on to the slide, it comes sleekly finished in all black with ports on either side to reduce the weight of the overall pistol which increases the cyclic rate and gas efficiency, but also teases the gorgeous bronze-coloured inner barrel. The slide comes with serrations on the front and the back, allowing you to easily grip and manipulate the slide in any weather condition. The serrations also add a textured finish to the sidearm, making it look fearsome on the battlefield.

Mounted on the front top of the slide, the ''Baba Yaga'' comes with a pre-installed front iron sight. This is paired with a rear iron sight, which is fully adjustable and has a flat and featureless rear notch which combines perfectly with the front sight to prevent any chance of mixing up the sight dots under pressure and missing those all-important shots. The rear sight can be adjusted for elevation by tightening or loosening the screw on the top, and the screw on the right side of the rear sight notch will adjust the windage, moving the notch left to right when turned.

Moving downwards from the slide we come to the main frame of the sidearm which is where we can find the controls. The manual safety catch is located at the rear of the frame and is present on either side of the grip to allow for easy use for both left and right-handed shooters. Both safety levers are textured for optimal grip and effective wet-weather use and can also be used as a thumb rest for the dominant hand's thumb for more effective recoil control and faster target-to-target transitions.

At the rear of the frame, we can find a skeletonised hammer which is finished in black to match the outer barrel. The hammer is significantly skeletonised to reduce some weight and it adds a high-speed look to the pistol. The trigger of the ''Baba Yaga'' is also skeletonised, shaving off a few extra grams of weight and adding to the sleek look of this hitman's sidearm.

Down to the rear of the grip, you can find a secondary safety feature known as the “beavertail grip safety” which needs to be pressed in to unlock the trigger. This feature is derived from the iconic 1911 platform and is still present to this day in most modern Hi-capa pistols. This works brilliantly to prevent snags and negligent discharges, it also boasts a very low profile shape which makes it a pleasure to hold and handle.

The slide release catch is located on the left side of the frame and is an extended design with a large contact surface to make dropping the slide after a reload easy and rapid. The magazine release is just below there, where the trigger guard meets the grip, and is a large circular button which is easy to find and press in, even with the adrenaline pumping mid-skirmish!

The distinctive grip is an eye-catching part of this Hi-Capa that makes it stand out from the rest. Its unique design is both stylish and useful. The pattern wraps the entirety of the grip and gives a sturdy, powerful feel in the palm of your hands, allowing for a grip like no other, with or without gloves. This sidearm does have a bit of weight to it, but not so much that it feels like a workout just trying to aim it. The weight is balanced throughout the sidearm, which gives it better handling and allows you to have more control over your shots and snappy switching between targets.

Finally, at the base of the pistol grip, we find the magazine well. On this Hi-Capa the magazine well is flared, a deliberate design to help you guide your magazine into the pistol during reloading. The flare has a wide opening which eliminates the precision required to reload when compared to a non-flared magazine well. The flare out at the bottom of the pistol grip also functions as a palm rest for your dominant shooting hand, keeping it in the perfect position to access the controls of the 789 Baba Yaga, and giving you better control of the recoil during rapid strings of firing.

On the inside of this sidearm, there is a reinforced cold-resistant polymer nozzle that ensures better sealing, resulting in a more stable firing power and increased sturdiness. It also comes with an adjustable HOP-up unit that is both durable and resilient, which allows precise adjustment of the ball trajectory. The ''Baba Yaga'' also contains the new-generation sealed magazine valves that significantly improve magazine loading comfort, reduce gas usage, and ensure airtightness of the entire sidearm.
